It's very simple. Just choose the tasks you want to get done. Write them down, and give yourself a certain amount of time to achieve them. Stick with the time limits you have allowed. Set your stopwatch. You could just use a clock, but i prefer the stopwatch. If the phone rings and, you get carried away on the phone that's your problem. You have just thrown yourself off schedule. Trust me, it is very easy to do! Now we all know that there are certain things we have to get done during the day, just to survive. Take these things into account such as eating, and various other things. There are three things i am focusing on each day to accomplish. I won't go into specifics, but here the 3 categories.
1. Health
2. Practice
3. Writing
The problem for me is this. I will set out to practice, but it does NOT happen. My goal is to do 30 minutes of long tones. I do one long tone, and take a rest before i do another. The next long tone does not happen until 56 minutes later. I have totally thrown myself off. Today that's what happened because i wanted to check some music i was writing. I thought i would go check a note, and come right back. It was 56 minutes later. I was in my PRACTICE session not my CHECK NOTE session. You get the idea. STAY FOCUSED!!!!!!! :)
